Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and five years of supervised mental health experience, or a master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field with fewer than 1,000 hours of supervised mental health experience.
  • A valid driver's license, private automobile insurance, and the ability to be insured.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and an electronic medical record.
  • Effective communication with employees, consumers, potential consumers, and support systems.
  • The ability to respond effectively and calmly in conflict or emotional situations.
  • Good keyboarding skills.
  • Data entry experience, preferably with an electronic health record or electronic billing system.
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and use of office equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Complete assessments and recovery plans to support client care.
  • Complete treatment plans and assessments before their due dates to prevent gaps in service.
  • Complete approximately 80% of progress notes within two days of meeting with a client.
  • Provide individualized support aligned with each client's recovery and safety goals.
  • Manage a consistent schedule to meet productivity goals while serving clients attentively.
  • Obtain service approvals and follow up on housing referrals.
  • Use a trauma-informed approach centered on hope, respect, and empowerment.
  • Use positive, recovery-focused language in written notes and conversations with clients.
  • Connect clients with resources such as housing and substance use treatment.
  • Collaborate with teammates and clients' support networks.
  • Attend regular meetings, support teammates, and take on leadership opportunities.
  • Use evidence-based methods in individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Provide services in community settings or other environments where clients are comfortable.
  • Complete regular training, earn continuing education units, and participate in clinical supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect clients' personal information.
