- Represent the establishment's image and provide in-person and telephone reception for customers; manage reservations.
- Organize the reception desk and manage the cloakroom, including directing customers to assigned tables and accompanying them throughout their visit.
- Provide personalized customer service and advice about the menu and products; manage customer-facing promotional items; maintain and edit menus.
- Manage customer flow during service, communicate service pace to managers and head waiters, and guide customers to their tables.
- Manage customer card authorizations and ensure billing for no-shows.
- Prepare reservation schedules according to customer requests and instructions from the head hostess; receive telephone calls and process establishment emails under the head hostess's supervision.
- Participate in team briefings and communicate service details, including cover counts and VIP customers, to dining-room managers.
- Work closely with the head hostess, operations director, and establishment teams; coordinate with head waiters during service to maintain the table plan and communicate table-specific information to kitchen teams.
- Stay informed about the establishment's event calendar.
