HVAC Sales Manager
About the job
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in residential HVAC sales, including at least 5 years in management.
- At least 5 years of experience training and coaching sales teams.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, products, and industry standards.
- A current and valid driver's license.
- Relevant HVAC certifications, including EPA Universal 608.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in customer relationship management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in office and field environments, including navigating uneven job-site surfaces; operate vehicles, hand tools, or power tools as needed; occasionally climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds; and communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing. The role may involve exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the residential sales team to achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to grow HVAC and plumbing services and products, and review and revise sales plans annually.
- Build and maintain customer relationships to support customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
- Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for the sales team, and develop and define programs for the field sales team.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Work with the General Manager, marketing, field operations, and service teams to drive sales and ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Ensure sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Recruit and hold the sales team accountable to performance goals.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
