Requirements
A 2-year degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, ISA Certified Control Systems Technician certification, or equivalent experience in the electronics field is required.
A valid Indiana driver's license is required.
Knowledge of steam properties and use of test equipment to measure steam flow, pressure, and temperature is required, including digital voltmeters, frequency counters, resistance temperature devices, current and voltage sources, differential pressure testers, and pressure testers.
Ability to work in hot and damp environments, confined spaces, and on live steam lines up to 600 psig is required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
Responsibilities
Maintain, test, install, modify, and calibrate steam meters, pressure reducing stations, sample analyzers, signal loops, and data recorders.
Install new meter layouts.
Interact with the Billing Department on billing investigations and customer inquiries.
Ensure and maintain a safe work environment, including at customer meter sites.
Maintain proper metering department documentation, including drawings and sketches.
Assist customers with problems related to steam usage in their facilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
Previous experience with differential pressure, pressure, and temperature transmitters; valve and trap maintenance; pressure-reducing valves; and sample analyzers.
Previous power plant instrument and controls experience.
Overview
We have an exciting opportunity as an Instrument and Control Technician to join our team!
The successful candidate will install and maintain all steam billing metering, instruments, controls and associated equipment, including but not limited to condensate meters, shunt flow turbine meters, orifice plate meters and other types of primary element metering. You will also perform the installation and maintenance of signal loop circuits for indication and monitoring, pressure reducing stations, sample analyzers, steam valves, traps and associated piping. Assist customers with any problems related to steam usage in their facilities.

Minimum Salary: $68,300 (Grade 8)
