About the job

Requirements
  • 25+ years of experience in analytics, data science, and machine learning, including delivering and operating production-grade models within financial services or other highly regulated, high-availability environments.
  • Deep expertise in applied data science and machine learning, including statistical modelling, predictive analytics, model development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and optimisation across the full model lifecycle.
  • Strong hands-on technical skills working directly with data, code, machine-learning frameworks, and complex datasets, while partnering with software engineering and platform teams.
  • Experience building scalable, reliable, and explainable artificial intelligence and machine-learning solutions that meet operational, governance, and regulatory requirements and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
  • Define and lead the artificial intelligence and machine-learning and applied data science roadmap for Enterprise Solutions.

  • Act as a hands-on technical authority by reviewing models, guiding senior practitioners, improving data quality and monitoring standards, and influencing decisions through deep expertise rather than formal authority.
Desired Qualifications
  • A pragmatic and outcome-oriented approach focused on delivering models that perform reliably in production and create tangible business value.
  • Communication and stakeholder management skills to explain modelling decisions, assumptions, risks, and limitations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Influential leadership and collaboration skills to drive alignment and technical excellence across cross-functional teams without relying on formal authority.
  • Coaching and mentoring capability to guide and develop data scientists through technical reviews, knowledge sharing, hands-on support, and leading by example.

S&P 500 Q3 profits seen surging 31% as AI giants drive nearly two-thirds of growth

Analysts expect S&P 500 earnings to jump about 31% in the third quarter from a year earlier, with technology and AI-focused companies such as Alphabet, Amazon, and Meta Platforms driving nearly two-thirds of the rise. Energy companies are projected to post a roughly 115% profit increase, according to Reuters. Higher oil prices amid the US-Israeli war with Iran pushed American crude about 30% higher during the quarter. Growth looks weaker elsewhere. Consumer staples and real estate are expected to report the slowest year-over-year gains. Second-quarter earnings rose nearly 54%, the strongest growth since 2021, according to LSEG. Excluding mark-to-market gains at Alphabet and Amazon, growth was about 35%. Investors worry about the wider market if the AI boom slows.
