About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a project manager in a client-facing information technology consulting role, with strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a project manager supporting technical product roadmaps and strategies.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to pivot between business and technical audiences.
  • Experience working in or strong familiarity with the financial services domain.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Claude (Chat, Cowork, Design) or comparable artificial intelligence tools for account planning and client preparation.
  • Availability to travel to client sites for major meetings, typically four trips per year across assigned accounts, approximately 5–10% travel.
Responsibilities
  • Own the long-term health, relationship, and growth trajectory of 1–2 assigned strategic accounts, including extending existing work, originating new opportunities, and maintaining a coherent client experience.
  • Serve as a billable consultant and apply project, program, or product management expertise to assigned engagements.
  • Develop and manage project or program plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, or own product roadmaps and backlog priorities when serving in a product management capacity.
  • Lead regular client meetings to review status, action items, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams to keep delivery on time and on budget.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and resolve issues before they escalate.
  • Work with the Technical Lead to assign project-team responsibilities and set clear expectations.
  • Optimize and negotiate resource allocation to maximize project efficiency.
  • Ensure the Ippon delivery playbook is followed and provide ideas for process improvements.
  • Build and personally maintain relationships across multiple levels and functions of the client organization, supported by a live stakeholder and relationship map and a regular cadence of relationship-only touchpoints separate from project status meetings.
  • Understand the client's business strategy, budget cycles, organizational structure, and competitive pressures, and connect Ippon's capabilities to the client's objectives while bringing outside market and industry perspective into client conversations.
  • Own a revenue target for assigned accounts through extensions of existing engagements and new opportunities; track active statements of work end dates and initiate extension conversations 6–8 weeks before expiration.
  • Co-draft statement-of-work extensions and change orders with the account executive and finance; partner with the account executive and pre-sales team to scope and draft proposals and statements of work for new opportunities.
  • Build account intelligence, including organizational charts, budget cycles, technology roadmaps, and competitive pressures, and conduct need-sensing through skip-level meetings, delivery-lead debriefs, and post-go-live retrospectives.
  • Maintain the account pipeline in Salesforce with realistic stages and a weighted forecast, and report pipeline coverage against target during the quarter.
  • Own the overall account health view, covering delivery quality, relationship strength, financial health, and growth trajectory, and run or actively shape Quarterly Business Reviews with a clear agenda and scorecard.
  • Escalate risks internally early enough for leadership to hear about them from the Engagement Manager before the client raises them.
  • Align delivery leads, the account executive, practice leadership, staffing and talent, and finance around a current account view through regular internal syncs, and manage handoffs when a delivery lead rotates off.
  • Use Claude (Chat, Cowork, Design) and account health dashboards to prepare for meetings, synthesize account intelligence, and turn notes into account-plan updates.
Desired Qualifications
  • Financial services domain experience, particularly enterprise experience with a large financial services company, is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in Product Management, Project/Program Management, or IT Strategy.
  • An account management or change management certification is a plus.
