Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
  • Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association or proof of alternative coverage.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as part of a team of Urologists serving Truro and the entire Northern Zone of Nova Scotia Health.
  • Provide a full range of specialized surgical, ambulatory, and emergency care for comprehensive urologic care.
  • Provide care and coordinate community-based, secondary-level, and tertiary-level health care.
  • Operate within the bylaws, rules, and regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
  • Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities.
  • Provide on-call coverage for Truro and the Northern Zone as part of a 1-in-4 call rota.
Desired Qualifications
  • Canadian certification is preferred.
