Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with computer and server hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, IP networking including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS, and switching and routing fundamentals.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and inventory management systems such as Grafana, Foreman, LuxOS, Braiins, and Odoo.
  • Familiarity with data center power systems and electrical safety.
  • Scripting or automation skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures and contribute to documentation.
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, on an on-call shift schedule.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain compute hardware, including ASIC miners, GPU servers, networking devices, and power distribution units.
  • Perform component-level diagnostics and repairs on hashboards, power supplies, control boards, fans, and related equipment.
  • Execute firmware updates, system re-imaging, and configuration management.
  • Support deployment and maintenance of local- and wide-area networks, switches, firewalls, and monitoring tools.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and escalate them to senior engineers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with information assurance and data security protocols.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical distribution systems, data center buildings, and airflow systems.
  • Monitor temperature, humidity, airflow, and power consumption and take corrective actions.
  • Support facility commissioning, racking, structured cabling, and power distribution.
  • Use monitoring platforms to track hardware performance, network health, and uptime.
  • Maintain inventory, asset tracking, and quality-control documentation.
  • Contribute to incident reports, root-cause analysis, and continuous-improvement processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and customer success teams.
  • Participate in developing and refining Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Identify and propose automation, process improvements, and cost optimizations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in cryptocurrency mining, high-performance computing, or hyperscale data center operations.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate, or data center infrastructure management credentials.
