Requirements
  • Must be actively pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Have a basic understanding of Power BI and Adobe.
  • Be able to simplify, analyze, and explain complex issues.
  • Be able to work at both an overview and detailed level.
  • Be able to manage time and projects effectively.
  • Be detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Be able to prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectively.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Perform within set timeframes to ensure appropriate response time and customer service for broker partners.
  • Assist underwriters with pre-qualifying accounts submitted by broker partners.
  • Prepare accounts to be modeled in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and timely account status within systems throughout the underwriting life cycle.
  • Attend speaker sessions, training sessions, and other program meetings that contribute to program projects and continued education in excess and surplus property underwriting.
Desired Qualifications
  • Background in Risk Management and Insurance is preferred.

Jeff Consolino named Core Specialty chairman as Ed Noonan steps down after six years

Core Specialty Insurance Holdings has announced changes to its Board of Directors. Ed Noonan has stepped down as Executive Chairman after serving since the company's 2020 recapitalisation. Jeff Consolino, the company's founder, president and CEO, has assumed the role of Executive Chairman effective immediately. The company has also appointed Bart van der Vlugt to its Board of Directors. Van der Vlugt is a principal at Sixth Street, which he joined in 2021, where he focuses on insurance sector investments including Sixth Street's partnership with Enstar Group Limited. Enstar, backed by Sixth Street-managed investment vehicles, provided Core Specialty with insurance companies and reinsurance agreements at the company's formation in 2020.
