Must speak English.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be willing to drive an 8-passenger van.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the insurance carrier.
Must have been legally driving in the United States for at least three years.
Must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check, drug screening, and physical.
Must be willing to work in any assigned home and, when possible, on days and at times different from the regular schedule.
Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to perform the physical demands of the role, including standing, handling objects, reaching, talking, hearing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting, climbing, balancing, and tasting or smelling.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with living skill development and personal care needs as directed by the Home Manager and outlined in each resident's individualized service plan, including supervising or assisting with cooking, shopping, laundry, showering, feeding, dressing, toileting, and mobility, including lifting a resident from a seated or lying position as needed.
Administer medications to residents as directed by the facility's Registered Nurse and prescribed by the resident's physician.
Write assigned documentation, including case notes, medication documentation, special incident reports, and emergency drill summaries.
Transport and accompany residents to recreational outings and medical appointments using the agency's 8-passenger van.
Assist the Home Manager with day-to-day household duties, including food preparation and cleanup, housekeeping, and laundry.
Handle resident funds and facility petty cash in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands-on instruction and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in various life skills areas.
Pay Rate: $22.50/hr

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Handles resident funds and facility petty cash funds in accordance with facility policy and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS: Because the needs of the consumers and the department often change, the individual must be willing to work in any home that is assigned. Also, when possible, must be willing to work on different days and different times than “regular schedule”. This person will primarily be working in homes designated as Moderately Challenging Homes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
