Platform Security Engineer
About the job
- At least 3 years of experience in a Platform Security Engineer or DevSecOps role.
- Experience working with a modern technology stack, including Kubernetes, Terraform, and public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong command of infrastructure security concepts, including advanced IAM, network security (VPC, firewalls, and WAF), CI/CD, and penetration-testing and audit methodologies.
- Prior experience helping one or more colleagues develop their skills through pair programming, mentoring, or training.
- Interest in contributing to the growth of a young practice by helping structure its methods, training, or external presence through articles and talks.
- Work collaboratively with Platform Security Engineers, SecOps professionals, and Project Managers on client projects.
- Contribute directly to technical project delivery, including IAM, network security, penetration testing, cloud security tools and CI/CD, hardening, and secrets management.
- Own the security strategy for assigned projects, including security audits, identifying vulnerabilities, designing secure-by-design architectures, pragmatic remediation, and compliance.
- Help develop the skills of collaborating SecOps colleagues through training, pair programming, and coaching.
- Contribute to internal Theodo Cloud projects, including improving security standards, building training, technical research, and thought leadership such as articles and talks.
