Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
  • Eight or more years of civil engineering experience, including a minimum of three years of assistant project management experience.
  • Land development engineering experience and skills, including residential and commercial developments.
  • A thorough understanding of municipal codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AES, CIVILD, WSPGW, PCSWMM, StormCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Projects.
  • Experience with storm drain modeling and Rational Method hydrologic calculations.
  • Experience with open channel and detention basin modeling and design.
  • Experience with HEC-RAS modeling and CLOMR/LOMR applications and processing.
  • Experience researching zoning, development standards, development review processes, compliance matters, regulations, and standards.
  • Ability to write reports, prepare narratives, development applications, submittal documents, and response letters.
  • Ability to manage people and processes to ensure effective execution.
  • Ability to review staff work for quality assurance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet time and budget milestones.
  • Ability to prepare project scopes, bid summaries, budgets, cost estimates, designs, specifications, plans, and reports.
  • Ability to review job cost sheets, prepare monthly billings, and manage work-in-process, outstanding accounts receivable collection efforts, and project budgets.
  • Ability to maintain client relationships and resolve technical, completion, and billing inquiries.
  • Ability to supervise project personnel and coordinate with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams.
  • Ability to review project changes, contract alterations, additional work requests, staffing requirements, and budget impacts.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance with field investigations, inspections, detailed design work, design computation reviews, and design coordination.
  • Ability to assist with marketing presentations, marketing meetings, securing repeat business, and identifying new clients.
  • Ability to understand financial reports and metrics, perform data analysis and interpretation, and drive project profitability and growth.
Responsibilities
  • Execute assigned projects through administration, technical, and management techniques to ensure successful completion on time and within budget.
  • Manage people and processes to ensure effective project execution.
  • Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
  • Assist with marketing the firm's capabilities to establish new clients and enhance existing client relationships.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet project requirements.
  • Drive the profitability and growth of projects.
  • Perform project development for complex projects, including finalizing project scopes, preparing bid summaries, project budgets, and cost estimates.
  • Perform day-to-day project management on multiple projects to meet time and budget milestones.
  • Prepare and direct the preparation of designs, specifications, plans, estimates, and reports.
  • Review job cost sheets and prepare monthly billings while ensuring projects remain within budget allocations.
  • Monitor and manage work-in-process, billings, and outstanding accounts receivable collection efforts.
  • Maintain client relationships and resolve project questions involving technical requirements, completion requirements, and billing inquiries.
  • Assist with marketing presentations and attend marketing meetings.
  • Assist the team leader in securing repeat business and identifying new clients.
  • Supervise project personnel to ensure work meets professional standards.
  • Liaise with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams.
  • Review project changes, pending or anticipated contract alterations, additional work requests, and factors affecting staffing requirements or budgets.
  • Provide technical assistance in resolving design problems, including field investigations, inspections, detailed design work, review of design computations, and coordination of design aspects.
Desired Qualifications
  • Registered Professional in field of expertise.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AES, CIVILD, WSPGW, PCSWMM, StormCAD, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS is preferred.
