Requirements
  • Proficiency in using a personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and electrical equipment cut sheets.
  • Knowledge of commercial and industrial construction trades.
  • Experience communicating and working with external fabricators to create fabricated and welded parts and assemblies.
  • Knowledge of procedures and workflows within Vault software.
  • Basic knowledge of iLogic coding and Visual Basic programming.
  • A Technical Diploma in Mechanical CAD Drafting or an Associate Degree in Mechanical Design Technology.
  • Three years of experience with Inventor and one year of experience with Vault.
  • Ability to work between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime or work outside those hours as business needs require.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug test.
Responsibilities
  • Create and modify 3D models of parts and assemblies for fabrication and production using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Create detailed drawings using Autodesk Inventor while complying with company computer-aided design standards.
  • Create detailed models using specified design criteria and parts, including accurate third-party manufactured components.
  • Communicate with internal teams and customers throughout the design process to ensure task accuracy, quality, and adherence to company computer-aided design standards.
  • Lead and oversee assigned projects and tasks with minimal assistance from the immediate supervisor.
  • Create drawings in compliance with company computer-aided design standards.
  • Participate in design meetings with internal and external personnel to ensure scope, deliverable dates, and expectations are met.
  • Participate in the design process and contribute design ideas to meet customer and project requirements.
  • Make decisions during the conceptual design of manufactured parts and assemblies.
  • Create manufacturing drawings for internal personnel to build or assemble and for external third-party fabricators to use.
  • Own the entire project and assembly process from start to finish with minimal assistance from the immediate supervisor.
  • Review models and drawings to ensure adherence to company and industry standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  • Three years of product development experience.
