- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus is required.
- Five to ten years of relevant geotechnical and construction observation experience is required.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Perform field and laboratory work related to earthwork, foundations, and construction materials testing.
- Manage subsurface investigations, including borings and test pits, and analyze logs, laboratory data, and site plans.
- Perform engineering calculations for bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, slope stability, and pavement section design.
- Write and prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports.
- Design retaining walls and foundations.
- Perform slope stability analysis and pavement design.
- Manage projects and engage with clients.
- EIT/FE certification is strongly preferred.
- A PE license is a plus.
- Experience with AutoCAD or CADD is a bonus.
