About the job
- Active, unrestricted New York medical license (MD or DO) with no pending disciplinary actions.
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration registration in the state of New York.
- Board certification in a recognized specialty, such as internal medicine, family medicine, urology, endocrinology, or a related field.
- Willingness to enter into formal Collaborative Agreements with Nurse Practitioners and Supervisory Agreements with Physician Assistants and file them with New York licensing boards.
- Ability to be available by phone or telehealth during business hours for provider consultations.
- Must reside in New York state.
- Oversee protocol adherence to ensure clinical operations comply with current protocol, evidence-based medicine standards, and applicable state and federal guidelines.
- Enter into and maintain written Collaborative Practice Agreements or Supervisory Agreements as required by state law with each Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant employed by Ageless Men’s Health in its New York locations.
- Be generally available by telecommunications during clinic hours for consultation with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
- Conduct chart review as required under New York Board of Medicine regulations.
- Review and co-sign charts as required by individual agreements and New York regulatory standards.
- Ensure clinic operations comply with New York State medical practice laws, Board of Medicine regulations, and Drug Enforcement Administration requirements.
- Maintain active New York Drug Enforcement Administration registration to support lawful oversight of controlled-substance prescribing, including testosterone and related medications.
- Serve as a resource for clinical questions from Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants and provide timely consultations via phone, video, or messaging platforms.
