Star Dental Partners is a dental support organization (DSO) that partners with dentists and their practices to handle non-clinical business operations while owners retain clinical autonomy. It provides shared services including recruiting, revenue cycle management and billing, human resources and payroll, IT, business analytics, and marketing and patient acquisition, allowing affiliated dentists to focus on care. The company operates across 13 states, primarily in the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic U.S., supporting over 500 clinicians, and it retains a practice's existing staff when it partners in order to preserve local culture. What sets Star Dental Partners apart is its emphasis on preserving clinical and decision-making independence for partner dentists rather than consolidating ownership and control. The goal is to build lasting partnerships that give practices operational support while keeping dentists in charge of patient care.
