  • A nationally recognized personal trainer certification is required.
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • A National Personal Trainer Certification is required.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification are required; the employer will provide them if needed.
  • The employee must be willing to remain on their feet for a few hours.
  • The employee should be motivated, energetic, and comfortable interacting with people.
Responsibilities
  • Engage and educate members about the benefits of exercise.
  • Schedule appointments and develop structured programs based on each member’s health history, interests, goals, and needs.
  • Develop, implement, and instruct a variety of personal training and small group sessions.
  • Build relationships to maintain steady growth in member participation and increase member retention.
  • Establish support to help members meet their goals.
  • Work the wellness floor to find potential clients.
  • Provide Wellness Department orientations to new members.
  • Identify and correct lifting techniques.
  • Create client-specific fitness programming.
  • Provide tours to potential members.
  • Register new or current members for ongoing training packages.
  • Perform data entry tracking.
  • Attain certifications in wellness programs and instruct them as needed, including the Livestrong program for cancer survivors.
