The Opportunity
As we head into the busy Spring and Summer season, we are looking for professional and customer-focused Tour and Charter Drivers to join our Queenstown team.
This is a part-time opportunity with a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight, offering a great mix of tour, charter, and group transport work. No two days are the same, with the chance to drive a variety of services while showcasing one of New Zealand's most iconic destinations.
You'll be responsible for providing safe, reliable, and enjoyable journeys for our customers while delivering exceptional service and representing the Ritchies brand.
Whether you're an experienced coach driver or looking for a new challenge, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team during Queenstown's peak tourism season.

Who we are
Ritchies is one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading passenger transport companies with a team of more than 3,000 people providing coach and charter services right across the country.
We partner with regional councils and schools to supply public transport services as well as offering a range of bus and coach hire services to businesses and the general public. You would be joining us at an exciting time in Ritchies’ history as we gear up to decarbonise our fleet and move to a more sustainable public transport model.

Ritchies Transport is a large New Zealand transport operator that runs public transit services, nationwide school bus operations, and tourism charters. It grew from a single Temuka bus in 1935 by acquiring many local bus lines, building a nationwide fleet of over 1,600 vehicles and sustaining a family-owned business for decades. Today, it operates primarily through contracts with cities for public transport, school run networks, and charter work, leveraging its extensive, multi-service fleet. The company differentiates itself by its long history, scale achieved through a series of regional acquisitions, and, since 2021, ownership by KKR with the Ritchie family retaining a stake to preserve continuity and focus on long-term infrastructure and greener transport solutions.
