About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Business is required.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, including experience managing staff, is required.
- An understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted auditing standards is required.
- Strong technology skills are required.
- The ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines is required.
- The ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally is required.
- Review mid- to high-level business tax and individual income tax returns.
- Advise clients regarding a full spectrum of tax services.
- Use judgment and analysis to make recommendations to clients during year-end and general tax planning.
- Oversee complex tax research projects.
- Manage tax accounting projects to meet client needs within a specified time frame.
- Provide feedback to Senior Managers and Shareholders.
- Participate in business development.
- Work as part of a team to provide tax accounting services for clients.
- Manage client relationships by monitoring client needs.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients on day-to-day accounting matters.
- Oversee and review the work of Senior Associates and Associates, including training and mentoring.
- Use cloud-based technology and other tax software.
- Perform client billings for services provided.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.
- Public accounting experience is preferred.
- A licensed Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant is preferred.
