Requirements
  • A preferred associate's or bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and implement core values and the company mission.
  • Lead safety initiatives to protect employees, customers, and assets.
  • Manage, supervise, and support the growth and development of the team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to create and maintain safe work practices.
  • Enforce safe work practices to protect employees, customers, and assets against losses, injuries, and accidents.
  • Ensure compliance with company and local, state, and federal safety regulations at the site.
  • Investigate accidents and safety exposures, identify causes, and develop preventive measures and practices.
  • Maintain traffic control, safety, and supervisor credentials.
  • Facilitate safety and committee meetings.
  • Oversee profit and loss, fleet, safety, equipment inventory, and customer interactions.
  • Understand and adhere to a collective bargaining agreement when applicable.
  • Strengthen the company's presence in the service area and identify growth opportunities.
  • Address customer service issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Track and audit the usage of assets, employees, and time for projects.
  • Use site and organizational data for workforce forecasting and staffing-needs prediction.
  • Participate in recruiting and hiring strategies with Human Resources.
  • Develop and support three to five direct supervisors.
  • Manage a staff of 75 to 150 field employees across broad territories.
  • Train new and current employees to reduce turnover, promote efficiency, and reduce labor costs.
  • Foster team building through leadership practices and regular communication.
  • Develop subject-matter expertise in work-zone setup and design and professional flagging.
  • Conduct site new-hire orientation and ongoing training.
  • Manage daily employee issues, including payroll, timekeeping, benefits, time-off requests, scheduling, and customer issues.
Desired Qualifications
  • Process improvement experience using Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree.
