- An LCSW requires a Master's Degree in Social Work.
- An LPC requires a Master's Degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
- A current unrestricted state license is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience is required.
- Clinical counseling experience within the last 3 years is required.
- Knowledge of the Military Health System, TRICARE, Veterans Administration, behavioral health referral systems, case management, military operations, and Reserve Component programs is required.
- Government background screening is required.
- Extensive regional and nationwide travel is required.
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments by completing comprehensive evaluations that consider biological, psychological, and social factors to guide clinical recommendations.
- Provide behavioral health consultation by offering expert guidance to Soldiers, leaders, and care teams on behavioral health concerns and appropriate interventions.
- Manage referrals by coordinating timely connections to military, Veterans Affairs, or community behavioral health providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Coordinate care by maintaining communication among providers, commands, and Soldiers to support effective treatment and case resolution.
- Consult with commanders by advising leadership on behavioral health trends, risk factors, and Soldier readiness considerations.
- Deliver training and education by providing instruction on behavioral health topics, resilience, and suicide prevention to Soldiers and command teams.
- Provide critical incident support by responding to high-stress or traumatic events and ensuring appropriate follow-up and coordination with command and clinical resources.
- Support behavioral health program operations by assisting with program implementation, data tracking, quality assurance, and adherence to policy requirements.
- Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.
