Requirements
  • The candidate must be able to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed in an active construction environment that may include dust, noise, and typical jobsite hazards.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • The candidate must have twelve years of experience on commercial construction projects, including seven years of supervisory experience.
  • The candidate must be able to manage multiple field operations independently.
  • The candidate must have experience updating construction schedules.
  • Current OSHA 30-hour and EM 385 1-1 40-hour certifications are required, or they must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated experience developing statements of work and evaluating subcontractor proposals.
  • The candidate must have a strong understanding of commercial and industrial construction plans across all trades, specifications, and submittals.
  • The candidate must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • A valid United States driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
  • The candidate must be willing to travel within and outside the continental United States.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead field authority for project execution, sequencing, and technical resolution.
  • Anticipate and resolve field issues with minimal Construction Manager input.
  • Lead field coordination across multiple concurrent or technically complex projects.
  • Develop and maintain overall site logistics and phasing plans.
  • Attend pre-bid and pre-construction site visits.
  • Supervise daily field construction activities and subcontractors.
  • Participate in request for proposal review and proposal development.
  • Solicit material vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for cost proposals.
  • Review vendor and subcontractor proposals for accuracy and completeness against project requirements.
  • Participate in schedule development and daily progress tracking.
  • Independently lead and manage multiple active construction projects.
  • Prepare and review detailed statements of work and assist with soliciting subcontractors.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals for technical accuracy, scope alignment, and pricing reasonableness.
  • Participate in subcontractor selection, bid leveling, and award recommendations.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project or equivalent software.
  • Support the Construction Manager in preconstruction planning, logistics sequencing, and constructability reviews.
  • Review subcontractor submittals, requests for information, and change documentation for completeness and compliance.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper sequencing.
  • Update the project schedule daily to document work progress or delays.
  • Provide answers to technical questions that arise in the field.
  • Track worksite dynamics and activities, including crew size, hours worked, progress, and deliveries.
  • Communicate with and update government and military personnel during field visits.
  • Conduct site-specific quality checks and maintain quality assurance and quality control documentation.
  • Implement the project safety plan and ensure adherence to EM 385 1-1 standards.
  • Maintain organized jobsite documentation, including drawings, requests for information, submittals, punch lists, and sign-in sheets.
  • Conduct and lead site-specific safety, quality, and progress meetings.
  • Perform minor carpentry, patching, or cleanup tasks as needed to maintain safe and professional jobsite conditions.
  • Identify and proactively resolve field conflicts, changed conditions, and potential schedule impacts.
  • Perform indoor air quality maintenance, dust barrier construction, and ceiling tile placement as needed.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Superintendent I personnel and field staff.
  • Assist in compiling closeout documentation and ensure project deliverables meet contract requirements.
  • Perform a wide range of construction activities and other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • A current Certified Quality Manager certification is preferred.
  • Experience using construction management software such as Procore is preferred.
  • A strong cost-estimating or proposal-support background is preferred.
  • An active or past security clearance is preferred.
