Requirements
  • A high school diploma and equivalent years of experience.
  • One to three years of experience in a financial branch environment, the financial industry, or a comparable retail sales environment.
  • Availability to provide coverage at other branches when necessary and work a Saturday rotation schedule.
  • Ability to communicate with members and others at all levels of the credit union in written and verbal formats.
  • Experience with the loan application process and standard or typical internal operating policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of current industry offers, market trends, competitors, and credit union lending and member service policies and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret and apply financial information, including credit scores, debt, assets, balances, payments, and interest rates, and perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios.
  • Analytical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and judgment demonstrated through gathering and applying relevant data to research and resolve issues.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to pass a background check including credit, drug screening, bondability, and criminal background checks.
  • Compliance with all applicable requirements under the SAFE Act and the credit union's related policies and procedures, including keeping NMLA registration current and notifying the credit union within 30 days of changes to the NMLS registry.
Responsibilities
  • Greet members and ensure they feel valued and connected to the credit union in person, by telephone, or digitally.
  • Receive and process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan and credit card payments, loan advances, savings and cashier's checks, and savings bond redemptions.
  • Maintain a balancing record in accordance with teller balancing standards.
  • Handle or direct problems, complaints, and special situations in compliance with credit union policies and procedures.
  • Balance the ATM, execute branch capture, complete branch recaps, maintain member accounts, process night depository transactions, and act as the vault teller.
  • Use branch technology and systems, including ATMs, cash recyclers, debit card instant issue, check scanning, ITMs, and Glory Teller Machines.
  • Support satisfactory branch operational ratings and corporate audits while complying with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Open and close consumer and business membership accounts.
  • Assist members with account maintenance and resolve membership-related concerns and problems.
  • Notarize documents when authorized.
  • Process loan applications through the appropriate systems, notify members of loan decisions, review documentation, deliver loan documents, and witness document signing.
  • Perform teller transactions by operating the teller cashbox as needed.
  • Assess members' financial needs through consultative questions and recommend appropriate deposit products, including checking, savings, IRAs, and CDs.
  • Collaborate with internal experts to provide solutions to members' needs, resolve issues, and improve their financial well-being.
  • Document member interactions and financial needs in the IRM system and complete timely, relevant follow-up.
  • Educate members about the credit union's services and explain when and how to use them.
  • Identify suitable personal, auto, and mortgage loan products through a consultative lending approach.
  • Gather member information and submit accurate loan documentation that meets compliance requirements while working with centralized lending teams.
  • Maintain an organized IRM follow-up plan and communicate with members about loan statuses and additional service needs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development related to universal banking, customer service, and compliance.
  • Ensure financial transactions and loan applications follow operational procedures, regulatory standards, and risk-management protocols.
  • Collaborate with branch team members to improve efficiency, member satisfaction, service quality, operational procedures, and safety.
  • Provide inbound and outbound telephone services for transactions, information, problem resolution, and product or service suggestions.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Reset raises $6M seed funding from credit union customers to expand earned wage access platform

Reset, an earned wage access platform for credit unions and community banks, has raised $6 million in seed funding, bringing total capital raised to over $8 million. More than two-thirds of the round came from credit union customers, including Georgia's Own Credit Union, InTouch Credit Union, Chartway Credit Union, VyStar Credit Union and One Washington Financial. The platform embeds into financial institutions' technology stacks, allowing members to access earned wages daily through a credit union-issued card. Reset cardholders show a 27% increase in deposits, maintain checking balances 36% higher than previous levels and generate 20% more credit interchange revenue for their institutions. The company will use the funding to expand sales capacity, deepen product development and accelerate deployments. Reset was recently named to Filene Research Institute's FiLab programme and is piloting with six credit unions representing 1.2 million members.

Georgia's Own and InTouch credit unions invest $1.25M in Provision IAM's identity management platform

Provision IAM, a provider of identity and access management platforms for credit unions and community financial institutions, has secured strategic investments from two credit unions. Georgia's Own Holdings invested $1 million, whilst InTouch Credit Union invested $250,000. Representatives from both credit unions will join Provision IAM's newly established Customer Advisory Board, with Georgia's Own also participating at board level. The investments reflect growing industry focus on identity governance, audit readiness and compliance automation as operational priorities. Georgia's Own Credit Union was already using Provision IAM's platform before investing. The company's SaaS-based platform automates policy management, audit reporting and access reviews for financial institutions. Provision IAM currently supports over 50 financial institutions nationwide and is engaging with additional credit unions for its advisory board.

Jack Henry Adds Ai-Based Fraud Detection To Digital Payments Platform

Jack Henry has launched a real-time, artificial intelligence (AI)-based fraud mitigation feature. The new Payrailz Fraud Monitor, which joins the FinTech company’s Payrailz Digital Payments Platform, supports multiple payment types and detects fraud when payment transactions are initiated, Jack Henry said in a Tuesday (June 20) press release. “We’re excited to offer Fraud Monitor to our clients and empower them with a sophisticated, AI-driven feature that scores 100% of P2P [person-to-person], A2A [account-to-account] and bill payments in real time,” Jack Henry President of Payment Solutions Tede Forman said in the release. “The ability to leverage transaction attributes, user profiles and atypical behavior patterns uniquely balances the ability to immediately detect and prevent fraudulent transactions with a frictionless payments experience.”
