Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least one year of related experience.
  • Recruitment, phone scheduling, and outreach experience.
  • Experience conducting recruitment is preferred.
  • Experience or willingness to undergo training to perform phlebotomy.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to accurately document participant interactions and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
  • Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design and implementation of recruiting strategies for clinical studies and trials.
  • Source and recruit study participants using databases, social media, hospitals, mental health clinics, shelter programs, and other referral sources.
  • Prescreen and evaluate candidates for study participation.
  • Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to leadership.
  • Act as a point of contact and build client relationships during the prescreening process.
  • Market clinical trials to the community and participate in outreach events to promote study awareness.
  • Schedule and conduct marketing presentations for referral sources.
  • Understand Phase I through Phase IV clinical protocols and associated study specifications, and develop recruitment programs accordingly.
  • Act as the primary liaison between referral sources and the organization.
  • Complete demographic, intake, database consent, and release-of-information forms during initial evaluations, and review program criteria.
  • Maintain participant databases with required information.
  • Visit hospitals, clinics, and other referral sources to market studies and conduct face-to-face screenings and assessments.
  • Communicate with family members or others involved in a participant's care.
  • Design and develop client education materials as needed.
  • Attend interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, staff meetings, chart reviews, trainings, and community meetings.
  • Maintain participant confidentiality.
  • Recruit and enroll participants, obtain informed consent, conduct interviews, and complete questionnaires according to study procedures and guidelines.
  • Conduct basic examinations, including height, weight, automated blood pressure readings, and hip-to-waist ratios.
  • Enter data and assist with creating and maintaining databases.
  • Maintain required research certifications.
  • Work with the project team on community resource referrals and coordination.
  • Assist with other research and administrative activities as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual ability in English and Spanish or Haitian Creole.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
