About the Company

Handicap International

Disability-focused humanitarian aid and empowerment

Handicap International, also known as Humanity & Inclusion, is an international non-profit organization focused on disability. It works with people with disabilities in diverse settings—from conflict zones to development contexts—to improve their access to essential services, rehabilitation, livelihoods, and inclusion. The organisation delivers aid and support through programmes in about 60 countries and responds to emergencies, helping people become self-reliant. It operates through a network of eight national associations (Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, United Kingdom, USA) that provide funding, resources, and project management. Unlike some aid groups, it is non-governmental, non-religious, non-political, and non-profit, centering the needs and rights of people with disabilities. Its goal is to enable people with disabilities to participate fully in society and to strengthen their independence and resilience in all contexts.
