Must have an active Drug Enforcement Administration license.
Responsibilities
Assess patients in an assisted living facility or skilled nursing facility environment.
Provide palliative and pain management to treat patients appropriately.
Perform pain management procedures as needed.
Define and document patient diagnoses.
Prescribe and refill medications.
Provide patient and family education and management.
Record findings and the treatment course in patient charts, including follow-up notes.
Participate in departmental activities to improve training methods and achieve company goals.

Compass Palliative Care, a leading California-based palliative care provider, seeks outstanding Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants with experience and interest in palliative and pain management. Our practice provides palliative and pain management appointments for California-based patients. Our practice provides palliative and pain management services in the ALF and SNF settings in the Ridgecrest area.

The practitioner will be assigned a specific patient load for which they will be responsible. Our program is run by experienced and board-certified physicians who take pride in providing training and in-service education to their staff. They believe in the advancement of their staff as well as creating the best possible outcomes for the patients they serve.
