Requirements
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship and/or workforce development project management processes and procedures, including data tracking, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Experience with local, state, and/or federal grant agencies and tracking/reporting systems such as RAPIDS and Appian Cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles and internal systems such as Colleague.
  • Experience developing, managing, supporting, and coordinating financials, managing grant budgets, grant reporting, and grant data.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship structure and management of apprenticeship and workforce data.
  • Ability to make business-critical decisions and choose the best course of action in a given circumstance.
  • Experience and knowledge working with internal systems and management tools such as Excel, Salesforce, Marketplace, and Colleague.
  • An associate degree is preferred, or a high school diploma with two years of experience in workforce development and/or apprenticeships.
  • Two years of experience managing data for complex projects.
  • Two years of experience leading and managing project management processes.
Responsibilities
  • Direct day-to-day project management processes for complex workforce development initiatives, including work-based, employer-driven, earn-and-learn programs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams with internal and external work groups to develop and improve multiparty initiatives on complex business projects involving local, state, and federal grants.
  • Manage project management for business- and industry-driven workforce development, apprenticeship projects, and contract or corporate training, including direct day-to-day project management processes.
  • Manage grant-funded project activities, including tracking and reporting data related to trainees, apprentices, training, revenues, expenditures, and other deliverables to meet project milestones.
  • Maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure efficient execution of workforce development and apprenticeship goals.
  • Research and identify funding sources to support and generate new apprenticeship and workforce initiative opportunities for business, industry, and community.
  • Develop concrete plans to lead and accomplish workforce development and apprenticeship project goals.
  • Disseminate information among team members and key stakeholders.
  • Track project progress and organize documents for initiatives and business solutions.
  • Set goals, motivate team members to accomplish targets and milestones, and delegate tasks as needed for successful project completion.
  • Manage team dynamics to support a positive work environment and departmental goals.
  • Share process-improvement knowledge to improve the effectiveness of work processes and solutions.
  • Negotiate resolutions for complex team projects by analyzing matrix data and assessing business relationships, timelines, budgets, and performance goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external work groups to develop and improve multiparty initiatives involving complex business projects, grants, and apprenticeship initiatives.
  • Communicate key initiatives and project progress updates to upper management.
