Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited cardiac sonography program.
  • Credentialed or eligible for credentialing through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Credentialing International; must be credentialed within one year of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
  • Apply sonography safely to patients for diagnostic purposes upon a physician’s request.
  • Work under the supervision of interpreting physicians for cardiac sonography.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two years of previous experience in adult transthoracic, stress (exercise and dobutamine), and transesophageal (TEE) cardiac ultrasound; hospital-setting experience is preferred.
