Requirements
  • You have 5+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of owning and shipping growth, activation, or PLG product areas in B2B SaaS, consumer, AI, or platform products.
  • You are deeply fluent in growth mechanics—funnels, activation, retention, virality, and lifecycle—and you let data and experimentation guide your decisions, with the analytical fluency to define metrics, instrument funnels, and interpret results alongside engineering and data teams.
  • You have strong product sense and granular product thinking, comfortable moving between strategy and detailed execution and specifying how a user should experience onboarding and adoption.
  • You have a deep interest in AI and enterprise software, and you thrive in ambiguous spaces, creating clarity, momentum, and alignment even when the product area is still emerging.
  • You are an excellent communicator, take ownership and initiative, collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, and bring a learning and growth mindset.
  • You are mission-first, measure your success by your product and team's success, and are an early adopter of AI for your own craft who's excited to help customers accelerate their AI adoption journey.
Responsibilities
  • Help define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Growth, translating broad company vision into specific bets across activation, retention, and expansion, informed by funnel data, experimentation, and customer behavior.
  • Own the PLG motion end to end — from acquisition and onboarding through activation, habit formation, and self-serve expansion — and design the loops that turn individual adopters into team- and org-wide usage.
  • Build platform-level growth capabilities such as referrals, invitations, notifications, in-product education, and lifecycle messaging that compound across surfaces rather than living in a single feature.
  • Drive off-surface growth by meeting users where they already work — the browser extension, email, Slack and Teams, mobile, and other entry points — so Glean stays present and valuable outside of a single destination app.
  • Partner deeply with engineering, design, and data teams to turn ambiguous concepts into well-scoped products and experiments, with clear user flows, interaction patterns, instrumentation, quality standards, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build a rigorous experimentation and measurement culture, defining the activation and retention metrics that matter, instrumenting the funnel, and running A/B tests to learn fast and ship what moves the numbers.
  • Drive customer-focused prioritization and efficient execution, balancing long-term platform opportunities with urgent user pain points, strategic customer asks, and company priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with go-to-market, marketing, solutions, and support teams to learn from real customer problems and ensure our growth strategy reflects how users actually adopt and spread Glean.
  • Bring a high bar for product craft by not only identifying the right opportunities, but also specifying how they should work in practice, including concrete onboarding flows, UI behavior, and adoption paths.

Glean builds an AI-powered search and knowledge assistant that helps employees find information across all of a company’s apps and data. Its core product is an enterprise search tool that understands natural language queries and retrieves relevant results from documents, conversations, tickets, and other sources, plus a chat assistant that can summarize and answer questions using that same information. The system uses deep learning language models that adapt to a company’s own terminology and context, improving relevance without manual tuning, and it offers hosting options to align with security and data policies. Compared with competitors, Glean focuses on cross-application search, organization-specific language learning, and a combined search-and-chat experience that delivers direct answers and summaries from internal knowledge sources. Its goal is to help teams work faster by turning scattered information into easily accessible answers, reducing time spent searching.

  • Third-party data integrations let Microsoft or Salesforce embed same intelligence natively, bypassing Glean as thin UI.
  • AI agents executing SaaS workflows without approval trigger SEC audit failures, forcing costly oversight layers and churn.

What makes Glean unique

  • Glean uses an Enterprise Graph to deliver personalized, context-aware search across 100+ apps.
  • Its AI assistant is grounded in internal company data, not generic public internet sources.
  • Glean Agents automate workflows via natural language without requiring developer-coded automation.

The $75K employee just became a $90K decision.

The $75K employee just became a $90K decision. The most interesting people strategy comment I saw this week wasn't about layoffs. It was about AI costs. At the Axios AI+NY Summit, Glean CEO Arvind Jain made the point that AI usage costs are rising quickly enough that companies may need to factor them into hiring decisions. That's a massive shift. And most consulting firm founders haven't thought about what it means for their business. The simple math that's about to get complicated. For founders of consulting and professional services firms, the people equation has always been straightforward: How many people do Wattsnextpx LLC has? How many hours can they bill? What margin do they create? But AI changes that equation completely. A person is no longer just a salary line item. They're a salary line plus tools, systems, AI usage costs, data access, and management overhead. Which means the question is no longer: "Can we afford another $75K person?" It's: "What return will this $90K person create with all the technology and support around them?" Where most firms will get this wrong. This is where I think many founder-led consulting firms are about to get caught. They'll add AI tools and expect productivity to magically improve. They'll tell people to "use ChatGPT" without redesigning how work gets done. They'll keep measuring utilization as if every billable hour is still equal. Here's what's going to surprise them: AI doesn't automatically increase Return on Person. In some firms, it may actually reduce it. More AI subscriptions. More complexity. Same client output. You end up spending more per person while getting the same results. The questions that actually matter. The firms that win will ask completely different questions: Where does human judgment actually matter? Not where Wattsnextpx LLC has always put humans, but where human thinking genuinely adds value AI can't replicate. Which roles become more valuable? The positions that can now produce dramatically more because AI handles grunt work. Which roles need complete redesign? The jobs built around tasks AI now does better and faster. Which people create real leverage? Not just staying busy, but actually multiplying the value of every tool around them. The real opportunity. The opportunity isn't to replace people with AI. It's to build a firm where every person becomes dramatically more valuable because the work has been redesigned properly. Instead of a $75K person doing $75K worth of work, you have a $90K person doing $200K worth of work. This requires completely rethinking how work gets done. Not just "adding AI" to existing processes, but mapping every role to understand where humans add unique value and where AI takes over completely. The bottom line. The consulting firms that dominate the next decade won't be the ones with the most AI tools. They'll be the ones where every person is a force multiplier - where humans and AI are designed to work together, not compete for the same tasks. That's the people strategy conversation founders need to be having right now. Not "How do we cut costs with AI?" but "How do we redesign everything so our people become exponentially more valuable?" P.S. - If you're still thinking about AI as a tool to make existing processes faster, you're missing the bigger opportunity. The real leverage comes from redesigning the work entirely. That's where Return on Person actually multiplies, instead of just adding costs. Securing AI as Enterprises move beyond experimentation.

Securing AI as Enterprises move beyond experimentation. Glean's Sunil Agrawal and Palo Alto's Michael Sikorski on AI Deployment Risks Tom Field (SecurityEditor) - March 27, 2026 Enterprises moving from artificial intelligence experimentation to broad deployment face a familiar and preventable failure: treating security as an afterthought. As AI agents proliferate across business workflows, gaps in identity management, data governance and runtime monitoring are creating new attack surfaces, attackers are exploiting them. "There's a whole new slew of attack vectors that are coming up: prompt injection, jailbreaking, data poisoning. All those terms didn't exist before generative AI," said Sunil Agrawal, CISO at Glean. "People moved to the cloud. They didn't think through security in the right way. And then it became really difficult and challenging, and we're still dealing with that. And now, all of a sudden, AI is on top of it," said Michael Sikorski, CTO and vice president of engineering at Palo Alto Network's Unit 42. In this video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSAC Conference 2026, Agrawal and Sikorski also discussed: * Why identity management and declared guardrails are foundational to safe agent deployment; * How the Glean and Palo Alto Networks integration enforces least-privilege data access, runtime security and incident response readiness; * Resources for security threat modeling, including the AWARE framework and Unit 42's latest incident response report. Agrawal is responsible for the overall security of Glean's products, infrastructure and corporate environment. With more than 20 years of experience, he has held security leadership roles at Bolt, Nutanix, Netflix and Adobe. Sikorski leads the engineering, product and threat intelligence teams at Palo Alto Networks' Unit 42. He has more than 25 years of cybersecurity experience, most of which involved responding to high-profile incidents and leading high-performing teams.

Aryn acquired by Glean, cloud service to shut down on 15 April

Aryn, an AI startup focused on helping enterprises answer questions from unstructured data, has been acquired by Glean. The company was founded before ChatGPT's launch and worked to apply AI to enterprise data challenges. Aryn's CEO cited alignment with Glean's mission to enable extraordinary work and the opportunity to accelerate impact as reasons for the acquisition. The company thanked customers including Novacore and DataRobot, and investors Factory, 8VC, Amarjit Gill and Lip-Bu Tan.
