Requirements
  • Experience installing, terminating, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electronic safety and security systems in hyperscale data center environments.
  • Experience with Access Control Systems, card readers, biometric readers, keypads, request-to-exit devices, door position switches, electric strikes, magnetic locks, and electrified door hardware.
  • Experience with IP-based Video Surveillance systems, including fixed, pan-tilt-zoom, and panoramic cameras.
  • Experience with Video Management Systems and enterprise security platforms.
  • Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems, including motion detectors, glass break sensors, panic devices, and perimeter protection equipment.
  • Experience installing and terminating low-voltage security cabling, including Category 6, Category 6A, composite cable, and fiber optic infrastructure.
  • Experience installing security device backboxes, conduits, raceways, cable trays, ladder racks, and cable support systems.
  • Experience racking and stacking security equipment, network switches, security panels, servers, power supplies, uninterruptible power supply systems, and telecommunications cabinets.
  • Experience installing and terminating patch panels, fiber enclosures, security control panels, intelligent controllers, and power distribution equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, device layouts, riser diagrams, one-line drawings, wiring schematics, and security system documentation.
  • Ability to enforce Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety standards, customer site requirements, and company safety policies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturer specifications, customer requirements, National Electrical Code, National Fire Protection Association standards, Underwriters Laboratories standards, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the installation, coordination, testing, commissioning, and quality control of electronic safety and security systems within hyperscale data center environments.
  • Install, terminate, test, and commission Access Control Systems.
  • Install and program card readers, badge readers, biometric readers, keypads, request-to-exit devices, door position switches, electric strikes, magnetic locks, and electrified door hardware.
  • Install, configure, and test IP-based Video Surveillance systems.
  • Install and commission Video Management Systems such as Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, and Lenel platforms.
  • Install and support Intrusion Detection Systems and perimeter protection equipment.
  • Install and terminate low-voltage security cabling and supporting infrastructure.
  • Install security device backboxes, conduits, raceways, cable trays, ladder racks, and cable support systems.
  • Rack and stack security equipment, network switches, security panels, servers, power supplies, uninterruptible power supply systems, and telecommunications cabinets.
  • Install and terminate patch panels, fiber enclosures, security control panels, intelligent controllers, and power distribution equipment.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and commission integrated security systems to ensure proper operation and customer acceptance.
  • Label and document installations, and maintain as-built drawings and testing documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, electricians, Division 27 teams, and customer representatives to complete projects successfully.
  • Lead and mentor field technicians while maintaining productivity, workmanship, and quality standards.
  • Ensure installations comply with manufacturer specifications, customer requirements, National Electrical Code, National Fire Protection Association standards, Underwriters Laboratories standards, and industry best practices.
