  • A minimum of a high school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or technical school education is required.
  • Related experience working with at-risk youth or youth with mental health or special needs is required.
  • Access to private transportation is required.
  • A valid New York State driver's license is required.
  • The ability to telecommute is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required.
  • Work experience within a collaborative team environment is required.
  • Verbal and written communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist clients, including children and youth, in developing and applying skills in natural settings.
  • Provide planned and/or crisis respite services.
  • Assist in building developmentally appropriate skills that promote personal and community competence.
  • Increase clients' social and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide services to clients individually and in groups within the community.
  • Provide services during daytime hours, weekdays, and/or weekends as scheduled by client cases.
  • Work with clients in settings that may include their homes, social environments, workplaces, schools, and the agency facility.
  • Deliver and properly document services in accordance with Medicaid billing requirements and agency standards.
  • Collaborate with service providers involved in the established treatment plan and ongoing care planning.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence and trauma-informed practice in daily responsibilities.
  • Attend weekly supervision meetings with the direct supervisor.
  • Participate in mandatory and recommended training programs.
