Requirements
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nursing program
  • Current, active unrestricted multi-state NP license
  • Board certification (ANCC or AANP)
  • DEA registration and state-specific prescriptive authority
  • Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and telehealth platforms
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills
Responsibilities
  • Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive sleep histories and physical examinations (via telehealth or in-person) to evaluate sleep-related complaints
  • Diagnosis & Testing: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including Home Sleep Apnea Tests (HSAT) and in-lab Polysomnography (PSG)
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including CPAP/BiPAP therapy, pharmacological interventions, and lifestyle counseling
  • Patient Education: Guide patients on sleep hygiene, the mechanics of sleep disorders, and the long-term health benefits of compliance with therapy
  • Follow-up Care: Monitor patient progress, manage equipment titration/adjustments, and provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) referrals or basic coaching
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our Sleep Technicians, Medical Director, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless patient experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (CBSM) or experience in Sleep Medicine
  • Familiarity with CPAP compliance software (e.g., Canvas, AirView, Care Orchestrator) is highly desirable
  • Experience with telehealth or remote patient care preferred

He succeeds Kevin Yeaman, who is retiring after leading the entertainment technology company for nearly 20 years. Whitten spent 17 years at Microsoft, rising to corporate vice president and chief product officer for Xbox. He went on to serve as chief product officer at Sonos before joining Amazon as vice president of entertainment devices and services, overseeing products including Alexa, Kindle and Fire TV. He later served as president of Unity Create and CEO of Cruise. Most recently, he was vice president of robotics at Meta. Dr. Lawrence Fong was named senior vice president and director of the Translational Science and Therapeutics Division, effective Dec. 1. He succeeds Dr. Geoff Hill, who is departing the organization in December. Fong joined Fred Hutch in 2024 as scientific director of the Immunotherapy Integrated Research Center and Bezos Family Distinguished Scholar in Immunotherapy. He previously founded the Cancer Immunotherapy Program at the University of California, San Francisco.
