Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred)
  • 10+ years software engineering experience as an individual contributor.
  • Proven track record as a Distinguished Engineer or equivalent role in a technology-driven organization.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, asynchronous architectures and distributed algorithms
  • Deep understanding of system performance tradeoffs, work scheduling, and engineering for high availability
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and their application to data-driven solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation and solve complex technical challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Active involvement in the open-source community and a history of contributing to relevant projects and/or experience in publishing technical articles.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to engineering teams across multiple domains, and geographies.
  • Design and evolve the overall architecture for our suite of products and platforms, ensuring they align with business objectives and meet the evolving needs of our organization.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation, driving the adoption of emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Mentor engineering talent, building high-performing teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Partner with product management, data science, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical challenges related to design, security, governance, performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Actively participating in design, development and debugging activities, demonstrating deep understanding of engineering principles and practices.
