What You’ll Do
Deliver Engaging Instruction: Teach a rigorous, college-prep curriculum aligned to Common Core and Tennessee State Standards.
Make Learning Meaningful: Design inquiry-driven lessons that inspire students and promote critical thinking.
Differentiate for All Learners: Implement ELL and EE accommodations to ensure every student can access and excel in grade-level content.
Lead with Equity & Inclusion: Cultivate a supportive, anti-racist, and inclusive classroom culture where students feel seen, valued, and challenged.
Collaborate & Grow: Work alongside a dynamic team of educators, engaging in ongoing professional development and sharing best practices.
Engage Families & Community: Build strong partnerships with families to support student learning and development.
Support Student Success Beyond the Classroom: Serve as a mentor and role model, administer state assessments, and contribute to STEM Prep’s culture of excellence.
What You Bring
A Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Education or English, with a Tennessee Teaching License (endorsement in English).
Strong literacy content knowledge and a passion for helping students develop their voices through reading and writing.
A demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, ensuring every student feels valued and supported.
A relentless belief that all students can and will succeed, with a “whatever it takes” mindset to help them get there.
The ability to motivate, inspire, and lead students toward high academic achievement.
