What believers are saying

  • ARPA-H awarded up to $18.3 million in April 2026 for TRANSFORM-EV.
  • Mass General Brigham collaboration can funnel recurring early-stage projects into Watertown.
  • ChromaTan and Landmark Bio won NIIMBL support for scalable AAV manufacturing platform development.

What critics are saying

  • Artis BioSolutions controls Landmark Bio, so a parent funding pullback hits operations immediately.
  • ARPA-H TRANSFORM-EV lasts three years; failed milestones would weaken Landmark Bio’s follow-on credibility.
  • Cell-therapy CDMO demand stays lumpy; losing Galapagos or InnDura programs would cut utilization fast.

What makes Landmark Bio unique

  • Landmark Bio’s 44,000-square-foot Watertown facility offers end-to-end CGT development and GMP manufacturing.
  • Artis BioSolutions acquired Landmark Bio in April 2025, adding broader genetic-medicine scale.
  • Mass General Brigham partnered with Landmark Bio in October 2025 for translational cell and gene therapies.

Landmark Bio secures up to $18.3M ARPA-H funding for EV manufacturing platform

Landmark Bio has secured up to $18.3 million in funding from ARPA-H through its TRANSFORM-EV programme, with support from national advisory firm EverGlade. The three-year award will fund development of a continuous manufacturing platform for extracellular vesicles, potentially benefiting advanced therapies including viral vectors and cell therapies. The project aims to overcome current low-yield, high-cost batch manufacturing methods by integrating advanced upstream, downstream and analytical technologies. EverGlade supported Landmark Bio through negotiations, including multiple redesigns of work statements, milestones and financial documentation. EverGlade specialises in helping innovators navigate federal funding from agencies including ARPA-H, BARDA and DARPA. Landmark Bio, an Artis BioSolutions company, operates from Watertown, Massachusetts, providing process development and GMP manufacturing for advanced therapies.
