CorePower Yoga opens its first Long Island location in Roslyn. The new CorePower Yoga studio is located in a 2,661-square-foot space on the ground floor of the Bryant Plaza mixed-use building at 333 Warner Ave. in Roslyn. The Roslyn studio is the first of three Long Island locations that CorePower plans to open. The chain plans to open a 2,649-square-foot studio in the Huntington Shopping Center at 350 Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station later this year and another 3,407-square-foot studio in the Gallery at Westbury Plaza at 900 Old Country Road in Garden City early next year. The CorePower Yoga studio in Roslyn will feature two practice rooms accommodating up to 67 mats, a lobby with communal eating space, "curated retail," two showers and restrooms, a standalone shower, dry bar and shared lockers, according to the company. Class offerings include Yoga Sculpt, a heated, high-energy class that combines yoga, cardio and strength moves with hand weights; CorePower Strength X, a 45-minute HIIT-style class combining functional strength training with energizing breathwork; CorePower Yoga 1, a foundational Vinyasa flow designed to introduce core yoga poses; CorePower Yoga 2, a heated power Vinyasa flow designed to build strength, endurance, and flexibility; and Hot Power Fusion, which blends traditional hot yoga and power yoga moves with high heat intensity, according to the company. The new Roslyn studio held a soft opening last week and is slated to officially open on Saturday, July 18, with a grand opening weekend on July 25 and July 26. Designed by Greenvale-based Mojo Stumer Associates, Bryant Plaza, the four-story, 105,000-square-foot mixed-use building at 333 Warner Ave. brought 54 apartments over 6,600 square feet of ground-level retail space a stone's throw from the Roslyn Long Island Rail Road station. Developed by Port Washington-based JK Equities, in conjunction with Century Realty Investors, the $50 million project replaced a blighted strip of vacant retail stores and was assisted with economic incentives from the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency.
