Project Manager - Banking

Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end project management for initiatives involving Mainframe and .NET systems. • Manage projects across the full life cycle: discovery, planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and hypercare. • Coordinate cross-functional teams including mainframe engineers, .NET developers, QA, DevOps, security, and business analysts. • Own project scope, timeline, budget, resource allocation, and delivery quality. • Drive Mainframe-to-.NET modernization, migration, or integration workstreams. • Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and stakeholdholder risks. • Establish and maintain project governance, reporting, and documentation. • Manage vendor and third-party delivery partners where applicable. • Facilitate Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery ceremonies as appropriate. • Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical delivery. • Provide regular status, risk, and decision reports to senior leadership. ________________________________________ Required Experience • 10+ years in technical project management or delivery leadership. • 5+ years working directly with IBM Mainframe environments. • 5+ years working directly with .NET platforms and applications. • Proven experience managing projects that span both Mainframe and .NET. • Demonstrated experience communicating with and presenting to CXO-level stakeholdholders. • Strong background in stakeholdholder management, negotiation, and executive reporting. • Banking or other regulated-industry experience, and daily use of AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot. • Experience managing distributed, cross-functional, and possibly global teams.
