Junior Accountant
About the job
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Business Studies, Business Administration, Management, or equivalent.
- Previous accounting experience is advantageous.
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities and strong personal computer skills are required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly within a small team is required.
- Willingness to learn is required.
- Perform daily accounting entries and posting.
- Collect cash payments to fulfill debts associated with customers’ overdue invoices.
- Process bank payment transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Handle petty cash and travel expenses, posting them to the related accounts and correct cost center.
- Create fixed assets and post depreciation.
- Assist with monthly closing, audit work, tax returns, and transfer pricing documentation.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and legal representatives.
- Support general office management and administration, including stationery and pantry refills, seminar food ordering, cleaner arrangements, and coordination of scheduled maintenance or repairs with external vendors.
- Assist in organizing company events, including festive celebrations, corporate social responsibility programs, launching events, conferences, and exhibitions.
- Back up sales and service administrators during absences or holidays with tender process documentation and collection of documents or warehouse items by logistics partners for urgent transactions.
- Correspond efficiently by email and phone with customers and suppliers.
- Manage content creation for designated product lines, including press releases, published articles, and social media updates.
- Experience with SAP/R3 is preferred.
