About the job

Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure engineering.
  • Hands-on AWS expertise, including IAM trust policies, VPC networking, and cross-account access.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience; AWS CDK is strongly preferred, and Terraform or CloudFormation experience is transferable. The role uses TypeScript CDK.
  • Ability to write production code in TypeScript and/or Python, not just configuration.
  • CI/CD pipeline ownership using GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or equivalent.
  • Experience with containers on AWS, including ECS or EKS, image builds, ECR, and task or service configuration.
  • Linux administration and shell fluency, including systemctl and journalctl.
  • Experience with identity systems, including SSO, SAML, or OIDC; IAM roles versus users; and practical least-privilege implementation.
  • Clear written communication for runbooks, pull request descriptions, and incident notes.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code across TypeScript AWS CDK repositories that deploy through CodePipeline into more than a dozen accounts; extend existing stacks, split monoliths, and bootstrap new accounts.
  • Deploy, monitor, right-size, and debug production services including ECS Fargate behind ALBs, Aurora, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, AWS Transfer Family, OpenSearch, and DMS replication.
  • Implement and maintain observability through CloudWatch alarms, Synthetics canaries, VPC flow logs, CloudTrail, and log retention and redaction policies.
  • Automate security and compliance controls using Service Control Policies, IAM Identity Center permission sets, Prowler-driven evidence collection into WORM storage, secret scanning, and static application security testing in pull request pipelines.
  • Operate access management systems including Okta SSO/SAML, SCIM provisioning, OpenVPN Access Server, and approval-gated automation for VPN and AWS access requests.
  • Build and maintain Google Chat bots and webhooks for pull request reviews, compliance drift reporting, on-call paging, and access provisioning, including LLM-backed tools on Amazon Bedrock.
  • Improve CI/CD with GitHub Actions workflows, pull request gates, organization rulesets, auto-merge policy, and deployment safety through changeset previews.
  • Participate in the production infrastructure on-call rotation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare, fintech, or another regulated environment, including HIPAA or SOC 2 audits.
  • Experience with AWS Organizations at scale, including Service Control Policies, Control Tower, Identity Center, and multi-account CDK bootstrapping.
  • Exposure to data platforms and services including Glue, Athena, QuickSight, Lake Formation, and DMS.
  • Experience with Amazon Bedrock or other LLM APIs.
  • Windows Server administration through SSM.
  • Operational experience with OpenVPN Access Server, Cloudflare, or Route 53.
  • Experience with Next.js or React for full-stack ownership of internal dashboards.

About the company

Oxbridge Health creates health coverage plans centered on Episode Benefit Plans, which bundle all services for a given treatment into a single transparent price to lower costs and improve care. It uses data analytics to establish a protection layer—an exceptions/variances corridor around an episode—to handle unexpected events and provide predictability in spending. The plans mix familiar PPO/HMO features with strong price transparency and consumer-focused design. The company targets employers and works with brokers to reach more clients, drawing on a history of consumer-choice models like POS plans and tiered drug pricing to empower cost-aware decisions. Its goal is to reduce healthcare costs for employers while delivering clearer pricing and better care for employees through data-driven, episode-based coverage.

Oxbridge Health raises $45M Series B to cut employer health costs by up to 25%

Oxbridge Health has closed a $45 million Series B round led by Eir Partners, with participation from Optum Ventures and a group of healthcare leaders. The round brings total investment in the company to $90 million. The Connecticut-based startup will use the money to expand sales and service for employers and brokers, enter new markets, and offer its Episode Advantage Inside product to health plan partners. Its Episode Advantage Health Plans give members guaranteed prices for each episode of care, such as a knee replacement, before treatment. Oxbridge says the plans cost employers 10% to 25% less than comparable PPO or HMO plans. Self-funded employers in Texas, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut can now request 2027 quotes.
