Requirements
  • Independent licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of service.
  • At least 2 years of experience in child-, youth-, and family-focused behavioral health care, including direct clinical supervision.
  • Experience with effective clinical supervision techniques.
  • Ability to provide strong leadership to a clinical team.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health, substance use or addiction disorders, and psychiatric conditions.
  • Experience using child-, youth-, and family-focused evidence-based practices.
  • Experience using formal and informal assessment practices.
  • Knowledge and understanding of participatory planning techniques.
  • Experience using crisis intervention techniques.
  • Familiarity with managed care practices and medical necessity criteria.
  • Experience using empowerment and self-advocacy techniques.
  • Knowledge of human, legal, civil rights, and other resources.
  • Knowledge of available community resources and alternative levels of care.
  • Knowledge and use of different communication styles.
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues.
  • Knowledge and understanding of a Code of Ethics.
  • Ability to work in a professional and confidential capacity.
  • Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or a related degree.
  • CPR certification within two weeks of hire.
  • First Aid certification within two weeks of hire.
  • Ability to perform the listed physical duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting at least 25 pounds, operating office equipment, and communicating with clients and staff.
Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly clinical supervision to assigned clinical staff and interns.
  • Facilitate clinical rounds and monthly group supervision.
  • Ensure multidisciplinary-team reviews are conducted within expected timeframes and client charts comply with clinic, Department of Public Health, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities requirements.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement and Utilization Review activities consistent with Behavioral Health Division policies and practices.
  • Communicate and network with youth-focused community partners.
  • Onboard and train clinical staff.
  • Develop child- and family-focused group programming.
  • Work with the training coordinator to ensure clinicians are trained in child-, youth-, and family-focused evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in the backup on-call rotation.
  • Assist the Director of Quality in reviewing record requests.
  • Participate in the professional development of licensed clinicians.
  • Carry an assigned caseload and meet productivity targets of 10 hours per week or one weekly group consistently attended by at least 10 people.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
