Requirements
  • At least a university degree at Master's level or equivalent in political science, international relations, development cooperation, economics, communication, or a directly relevant discipline; alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus three additional years of work experience.
  • At least seven years of professional experience in fields related to multistakeholder engagement in policy processes and dialogues with international organisations and/or state actors.
  • At least five years of experience facilitating and moderating multistakeholder consultation activities.
  • At least three years of experience drafting reports, policy papers, background documents, agendas, and concept notes.
  • At least three years of professional experience preparing, facilitating, and reporting back from international multistakeholder consultations or dialogues.
  • At least one year of professional experience in database management.
  • At least one year of professional experience updating and moderating digital communication platforms.
  • C1 level of English.
  • C1 level of either French or Spanish.
  • At least B2 level of the other language, French or Spanish as applicable, is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate spaces for dialogue and consultations at global and regional levels with civil society networks, foundations, associations of local authorities, European Union institutions, and Member States, mainly through the Policy Forum on Development and ad hoc consultations.
  • Support the European Commission in exploring new avenues of cooperation with civil society organisations, foundations, and local-authority associations and guide organisations in this regard.
  • Contribute to drafting concept notes, regular updates on policy issues related to and raised by civil society, background papers, and other material relevant to the dialogue.
  • Update and moderate digital communication platforms.
  • Prepare, facilitate, and report back from international multistakeholder consultations and dialogues.
