About the Company

PPL

Regulated electricity and natural gas utility

PPL provides electricity and natural gas to customers in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island through regulated utilities (LG&E and KU in Kentucky; PPL Electric Utilities in Pennsylvania; Rhode Island Energy in Rhode Island). It owns and operates the energy transmission and distribution networks, purchasing power from generators and selling it to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The company competes mainly as a regulated utility with a footprint across several states, rather than relying on competitive markets. Its goal is to deliver reliable energy service, maintain and expand its infrastructure, and support the communities it serves through its foundation.
