  • At least 7 years of post-J.D. experience as a litigator at a law firm, financial services regulatory agency, exchange, broker-dealer or FCM.
  • "on-your-feet" experience in court or arbitration proceedings preferred
  • Familiarity with securities and broker-dealer issues preferred
  • Background in cybersecurity issues a plus
  • Member in good standing of the bar of any U.S. state or the District of Columbia
  • Solid academic background
  • High degree of comfort and fluency with computers and technology, and understanding of how technology is applied to business and regulatory problems
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Representing the firm in arbitration and other adversarial proceedings (both directly and in conjunction with outside counsel)
  • Coordinating with outside counsel on court actions involving the firm
  • Representing firm employees in third-party proceedings
  • Advising firm employees on pre-litigation matters
  • Drafting agreements, disclosures, account documentation and website materials
  • Investigating and providing detailed analysis and legal advice in connection with anti-fraud efforts and cybersecurity matters
  • Staying abreast of current cyber-related regulatory developments
