A bachelor's degree is required.
ARDMS certification is required.
A minimum of 2 years of sonography scanning experience is required.

Responsibilities

Teach courses within the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program curriculum that coordinate with clinical experience.
Participate in student recruitment.
Develop course objectives, lesson plans, and curriculum.
Support students through counseling and advisement.
Design, prepare, and develop teaching materials that conform to the Diagnostic Medical Sonography curriculum and the ARDMS curriculum guidelines.
Instruct and evaluate students and report their progress.
Cooperate with the Program Director and participate in periodic review and revision of course materials.
Maintain appropriate expertise and competencies through continuing professional development.

Desired Qualifications

A master's degree is preferred.
Teaching experience is preferred.

Overview

The Assistant Professor performs under the supervision of the Program Director. This role provides instruction to students in the Sonography Program, prepares course outlines, grades exams, prepares deliverables for review to the Program Director and other pedagogical functions.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree preferred.
ARDMS, as required
Minimum 2 years of sonography scanning experience.
