Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience owning production infrastructure end-to-end at a startup or scale-up.
  • Strong experience with cloud-managed Kubernetes, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service and Google Kubernetes Engine, and with self-hosted, bare-metal, or lightweight Kubernetes distributions such as K3s, Rancher, and OpenShift.
  • Deep knowledge of namespace-per-tenant patterns, ResourceQuota, LimitRange, NetworkPolicy with default-deny rules, Pod Security Admission, and autoscaling.
  • Experience with secure cross-environment networking using VPNs, mutual TLS, reverse proxies, and WireGuard.
  • Experience designing modular Terraform infrastructure as code, including network, cluster, identity and access management, tenant namespace, and add-on modules; remote state with locking; and state splitting for blast-radius control.
  • Production experience with Apache Kafka, ideally in KRaft mode, including broker sizing, replication and availability-zone placement, Schema Registry, dead-letter queues or topics, and retry topology.
  • Experience with an OpenID Connect and role-based access control identity provider such as Keycloak, including per-tenant realm patterns.
  • Experience with a secrets manager such as HashiCorp Vault, Kubernetes-native authentication, and enforcement against hardcoded secrets.
  • Practical experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, including lint, test, build, push, and deploy flows, OpenID Connect-based cloud authentication, and secret-scanning pre-commit hooks.
  • Experience deploying OpenTelemetry Collector patterns and tenant-aware metrics, logs, and traces stacks using tools such as Prometheus, Loki, and Tempo.
  • Ability to set technical direction, defend architecture choices, and prioritize independently.
  • Fluent English.
Responsibilities
  • Own the Kubernetes-native foundation for Rojo's new integration products, including the cluster, infrastructure as code, secrets, identity, messaging, and observability.
  • Make foundational architecture decisions for the greenfield infrastructure.
  • Write Terraform, configure the Kubernetes cluster, and debug the Kafka broker.
  • Implement tenant isolation using namespace-per-tenant patterns, default-deny network policies, per-tenant secrets, and identity realms.
  • Support hybrid and on-premises deployments by hosting central control planes in the cloud and enabling deployment across on-premises or private-cloud customer environments.
  • Build durable event-driven messaging infrastructure with Kafka.
  • Design infrastructure supporting EU data sovereignty, including region selection, encryption, audit trails, and self-hosted versus managed services under GDPR and EU AI Act requirements.
  • Make every span, log, and metric traceable per tenant across deployed environments.
  • Set technical direction, defend architecture choices such as node-pool strategy, partitioning, and identity and access management boundaries, and prioritize work without a pre-built roadmap.
  • Build and lead an infrastructure team as the organization scales.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with multi-cluster management and GitOps workflows such as ArgoCD or Flux across multi-region or on-premises environments.
  • Experience with compliance-regulated, multi-tenant software as a service, including financial services, healthcare, or public-sector environments; data residency; audit logging; and encryption at rest.
  • Familiarity with integration or enterprise service bus runtimes such as Apache Camel, or durable-execution and workflow-orchestration engines such as Temporal.io.
  • Experience with API gateway rate limiting, mutual TLS termination, and per-tenant quotas.
  • Basic familiarity with vector databases, self-hosted inference, or graphics processing unit node pools.

Rojo Integrations focuses on SAP integration and business process observability. It provides consultancy, software development, and managed services to help organizations connect SAP and non-SAP systems, modernize their integration landscapes, and govern data flows. Its offerings cover the full integration lifecycle—from strategy and implementation to ongoing support—using both iPaaS and on-premise middleware. The company differentiates itself through an end-to-end approach that includes proprietary software and connectors (such as Snaps for the SnapLogic platform), strong partnerships with SAP, Coupa, SnapLogic, and Splunk, and a global delivery model with offices in the Netherlands, Spain, and India. Rojo’s goal is to enable clients to streamline integrations, improve business process observability, and migrate to modern platforms like SAP Integration Suite while driving growth through strategic partnerships and managed services.
