- At least 8 years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record leading mission-critical or safety-critical software teams, ideally in defence, aerospace, or another highly regulated hardware-software environment.
- Proven experience building and leading a software organization, including hiring, mentoring, and establishing and maintaining engineering practices.
- Experience defining software architecture for systems that must interoperate with third-party sensors, effectors, and external command systems.
- Strong experience with C++ and Python, including multithreaded and multiprocess design, real-time and low-latency systems, and TCP/IP or UDP networking across distributed processes.

- Own the mission software that enables CM-70 to detect, track, and engage threats as part of a networked, multi-sensor air defence system.
- Lead the design and development of command-and-control software, sensor and effector integration layers, and engagement sequencing logic.
- Build and lead the mission software team, managing software engineers working across command and control, integration, and mission planning.
- Partner with the Mission Systems Lead to align mission software with the electrical, mechanical, and mechatronic design of each launch architecture.
- Own software verification and validation practices, ensuring mission software meets the reliability and safety standards required for fielded defence systems.
- Experience with counter-UAS, air defence, or missile guidance software systems.
- Background in command-and-control software, sensor fusion, or mission planning systems for defence or aerospace applications.
- Demonstrated experience in computer vision, with a focus on object detection, tracking, and image-processing algorithms.

The companies did not disclose the value of the investment, but said the transaction raises NVD's valuation to more than $90 million. CSG described the investment as part of its long-term strategy to strengthen capabilities in technologies expected to play an increasingly important role in future military operations, including autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, advanced sensors and precision-guided interceptors. "The nature of modern conflicts is changing rapidly. Autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, advanced sensors, precision guidance, and cost-effective air defence are becoming increasingly important," CSG Chairman and CEO Michal Strnad said. According to Strnad, CSG intends to become more than a financial investor by providing industrial expertise, manufacturing capacity and access to its commercial network across Ukraine, NATO member states and partner nations. Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, North Vector Dynamics develops next-generation missile technologies for air and missile defense. The company is currently contracted by Canada's Department of National Defence to advance hypersonic technologies. NordSpace Ventures has invested in North Vector Dynamics, a Calgary-based defence technology company developing Canada's first sovereign missile capability. The investment strengthens collaboration between the two Canadian-owned firms, both members of a Department of National Defence-backed Hypersonic Innovation Micro-net. North Vector Dynamics holds a C$4.2 million contract from Defence Research and Development Canada to advance hypersonic propulsion technologies. The company specialises in precision interception, autonomy, and advanced propulsion, producing the ITAR-free CM-70 interceptor. The partnership focuses on defence applications of NordSpace's rocket propulsion technology and Canadian hypersonic research.
