POSITION:     Software Engineer, Web Frontend

JOB DUTIES: Design and lead the implementation of web components to accelerate the development of our leading-edge progressive web apps and micro services for the US market. Contribute to web platform technology and strategic roadmap decisions. Write clean, maintainable, secure, and scalable code with complete test coverage. Improve the UX of our web site. Communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, marketing, QA, and other stakeholders within the organization. Remote work permitted within the U.S.

HOURS:          40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

SALARY:        Zone 1: $176, 375.42 - $218,500

                        Zone 2: $176, 375.42 - $196,700

                        Zone 3: $176, 375.42

LOCATION: Mercari, Inc., 3101 Park Blvd, Palo Alto, CA 94306

REQUIREMENTS

Main Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Application Developer, Application Integration Engineer, Developer, Infrastructure Engineer or a closely related occupation.

Special Skills: Also requires three (3) years of experience in the following:

• Web apps and microservices fusing React, GraphQL, Next.js, .Javascript ES6, React.js, and modern CSS;
• Working within Agile development workflows;
• Setting up CI pipelines; and
• Cloud services.
