FinScan and Quantifind unite to sharpen AML risk view.

FinScan and Quantifind unite to sharpen AML risk view. September 8, 2026 FinScan, an Innovative Systems solution and provider of AML and sanctions compliance technology, and Quantifind, a provider of AI-powered financial crime and national security risk intelligence, have formed a strategic partnership designed to help compliance teams identify financial crime risks before they appear on formal watchlists. The partnership integrates Quantifind's AI-driven adverse media intelligence into FinScan's existing sanctions, politically exposed person (PEP) and watchlist screening workflows. The integration gives compliance teams a unified view of screening activity, while FinScan's precision matching and data quality tools are designed to filter duplicate and low-value alerts and connect relevant adverse media findings to a customer's overall risk profile. At the centre of the integration is Quantifind's Graphyte platform, which continuously scans global news and other public sources for emerging financial crime risks. Built on purpose-built language models, AI-driven entity resolution and dynamic risk typologies, Graphyte processes multilingual content while keeping client data within an organisation's own jurisdiction. The combined platforms allow institutions to continuously monitor customers, suppliers and counterparties against global news and investigate confirmed risks within the same workflow used for sanctions and watchlist checks. The offering is aimed at banks, insurers, payment providers, FinTechs and other regulated firms seeking to strengthen AML controls, reduce investigative workloads and accelerate risk decisions. The partnership comes as regulators increasingly focus on whether AML controls are effective rather than simply whether they exist. FATF's fifth round of mutual evaluations places greater emphasis on measurable outcomes, while the Wolfsberg Group continues to advocate a risk-based approach. Adverse media is an important part of this challenge, as individuals linked to money laundering, human trafficking and corruption may never appear on a formal sanctions list. Innovative Systems' FinScan provides AML compliance technology for hundreds of organisations, covering KYC, sanctions screening, risk scoring and data quality. Quantifind provides AI-powered risk intelligence through its Graphyte platform, combining internal, third-party and open-source data to help organisations identify financial crime risks. FinScan chief operating officer Deborah Overdeput said, "Regulators increasingly expect AML programs to demonstrate effectiveness, not simply the existence of controls. Adverse media has become one of the hardest areas to get right because the volume is enormous and much of it is noise. Compliance teams can spend countless hours reviewing alerts while still missing the customer who was never on a watchlist. Graphyte helps identify what matters, while FinScan provides the data quality, precision matching, and workflow to turn those insights into action." Quantifind COO Graham Bailey added, "Modern compliance programs need adverse media intelligence that is accurate, explainable, and fast enough to support confident decision-making. Graphyte was built to resolve entities and assess risk across vast volumes of public data with the transparency regulated organizations require. Partnering with FinScan enables compliance teams to incorporate that intelligence directly into their existing screening workflows, helping analysts make faster, more informed decisions." The partnership reflects a broader shift towards continuous and intelligence-led AML monitoring, as regulated firms seek to identify risks beyond traditional watchlists and strengthen how they assess customers and counterparties. FinScan has successfully completed the technical validation for its integration with LSEG World-Check On Demand. This milestone allows financial institutions to access trusted risk intelligence directly within their AML screening workflows, ensuring seamless compliance coverage and operational efficiency through a validated technology partnership between Innovative Systems and LSEG. How does the FinScan and World-Check integration improve compliance? The integration of trusted risk intelligence from LSEG World-Check On Demand into the FinScan platform allows compliance teams to operate with unparalleled data accuracy. By embedding this intelligence directly into existing workflows, financial institutions can eliminate manual friction and ensure that their screening processes are backed by LSEG's rigorous technical standards. This partnership focuses on reducing operational risk while providing the scale necessary to handle high-volume screening requirements. * Direct access to global risk data within the FinScan interface. * Automated sanctions and watchlist updates to ensure real-time accuracy. * Full alignment with LSEG architecture standards for secure data delivery. What results has the technical validation delivered? By achieving formal go-to-market readiness, FinScan has secured a strong first-mover advantage in the AML technology space. This validation confirms that the integration adheres to operational best practices, allowing customers to deploy the solution with confidence. The technical synergy between the two platforms ensures that trusted risk intelligence is delivered without compromising the speed or performance of the screening engine. "Our process follows rigorous technical validation to confirm that partner integrations align with World-Check On Demand's architecture, data delivery standards, and operational best practices," said Priya Nallan, Head of Product, Screening at LSEG Risk Intelligence. "With this milestone achieved, FinScan is now recognized as a technology partner capable of delivering World-Check On Demand within its AML and sanctions screening workflows." Why is this partnership critical for financial institutions? As global regulatory regimes become more complex, the need for integrated risk intelligence has never been higher. The combination of FinScan's proprietary matching technology and World-Check's data allows firms to strengthen compliance programs while maintaining high levels of operational efficiency. This validated integration ensures that compliance teams can depend on consistent data delivery across all global jurisdictions. "Completing the validation process is an important milestone for our partnership and for the customers we serve," said Deborah Overdeput, Chief Operating Officer at Innovative Systems. "This confirms that FinScan is fully aligned with LSEG's integration standards and ready to deliver World-Check On Demand within our screening platform. Together, we can help financial institutions strengthen their compliance programs while maintaining operational efficiency." Ff news take: This integration moves the needle by solving the perennial problem of data silos in AML compliance. By embedding trusted risk intelligence directly into the screening engine, FinScan and LSEG are reducing the 'integration tax' that often plagues financial institutions. This move signals a shift toward more open, validated ecosystems where high-quality data and high-performance software work in lockstep to combat financial crime effectively. Featured speakers.
