Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Enrollment hit a record 205 freshmen and 500-plus total students in 2025-26.
  • The Village III and a 286-bed residence hall expand capacity for continued growth.
  • Partnerships like KSU transfer pathways and Piedmont Cartersville strengthen recruiting and career outcomes.

What critics are saying

  • Birmingham expansion requires new housing completion by year-end; delays would strain enrollment growth.
  • Revenue concentration around Christian branding and leadership events leaves demand exposed to church trends.
  • Competing colleges can copy business degrees quickly, eroding Highlands College's differentiation within years.

What makes Highlands College unique

  • Highlands College blends ministry training with character formation and practical leadership education.
  • The Dunn School of Business launches Fall 2026, expanding beyond purely ministry programs.
  • On-campus housing, dining, and leadership conferences create a tightly integrated student experience.
