- Willingness to travel approximately 25% to 50% during peak periods for customer site visits and compliance activities.
- Conduct Customer Due Diligence reviews and Know Your Customer evaluations for current and prospective pharmacy customers.
- Perform on-site customer visits to assess compliance practices, validate business operations, and support ongoing regulatory obligations.
- Investigate suspicious order activity by analyzing customer purchasing patterns, reviewing supporting documentation, and making risk-based recommendations, including complex or escalated compliance matters, in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with pharmacists and pharmacy personnel to gather information, resolve compliance questions, and support investigative findings.
- Maintain accurate, organized documentation of investigations, customer interactions, and site visits to support regulatory readiness.
- Monitor Suspicious Order Monitoring activity, regulatory reporting, and customer accounts to identify diversion risks, evaluate system effectiveness, and ensure compliance with Drug Enforcement Administration and applicable state requirements.
- Evaluate information from internal and external sources, including regulatory and public records, to support customer risk assessments and compliance decisions.
- Enhance compliance processes, standard operating procedures, reporting, and operational practices.
- Stay current on evolving Drug Enforcement Administration regulations, industry guidance, and compliance best practices.
- Prior experience as a Drug Enforcement Administration investigator, State Board of Pharmacy investigator, regulatory investigator, or pharmaceutical compliance professional.
- Working knowledge of Drug Enforcement Administration regulations, controlled substance compliance, or pharmaceutical distribution.

Morris & Dickson to acquire fellow pharma distributor Prodigy Health. Prodigy is a specialty distributor of plasma derivatives, specialty drugs and vaccines based in Shreveport, LA. Pharmaceutical distributor Morris & Dickson, headquartered in Shreveport, LA, signed a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) to acquire Prodigy Health - a privately held, national specialty distributor of plasma derivatives, specialty drugs and vaccines. In a Dec. 8 news release, the company said the proposed acquisition of Austin, TX-based Prodigy Health underscores Morris & Dickson's accelerated growth in serving both inpatient and outpatient care settings for health systems, hospitals and provider-owned community clinics and infusion centers. With the acquisition, M&D will expand its product portfolio to include a comprehensive on-shelf inventory of plasma derivatives, coagulation products, immune globulin, recombinants and vaccines for both acute and non-acute care. All will be available through one company and one ordering portal, supported by M&D's distribution services and account support team. Prodigy Health customers will also gain access to 30,000 SKUs of full-line and specialty products through the M&D portfolio, plus the strength of an independent organization with 180-plus years of serving pharmacies.
